Purpose-built tools for web accessibility, SEO, and compliance.

Had A Farm builds focused software tools: not platforms, not agencies, not consulting retainers. Pick the problem you need to solve.

Built by a chief web architect and digital accessibility practitioner · 20+ years in public higher education and healthcare · 300+ WCAG audits conducted

Technology grows best when it's cultivated, not manufactured.

Had A Farm takes an agrarian approach to software: patience over speed, purpose over trend-chasing, and tools built to last longer than the hype cycle that inspired them.

Our agrarian approach to software means patience, attention to the soil, and tools that work as hard as you do. We don't believe in factory-farmed code or one-size-fits-all solutions.

Like the best harvests, great technology requires understanding the seasons, respecting the land, and knowing when to let things grow at their own pace. We plant seeds with intention and tend them with expertise.

"Good soil doesn't happen by accident. Neither does good software."

, Founder of Had A Farm

Rooted in discipline. Grown with purpose.

01

Prepare the Soil

Before writing a single line of code, we study the terrain. Deep discovery, stakeholder alignment, and architectural planning lay the groundwork for everything that follows.

02

Plant with Intent

Every feature, every integration, every decision is planted with a reason. We choose the right tools for the right conditions, not whatever's trending this season.

03

Tend & Cultivate

Software isn't built and abandoned. We nurture projects through iterative growth cycles, monitoring health, pruning complexity, and fertilizing with user feedback.

04

Harvest Results

When the time is right, we deliver. Clean deployments, thorough documentation, and technology that produces measurable yield for your operation, season after season.

05

Sustain the Land

We build for the long haul. Sustainable architecture, clean codebases, and technology choices that don't deplete the soil for next season's crop.

06

Share the Bounty

Knowledge shouldn't be hoarded. We practice open communication, thorough knowledge transfer, and partnerships that make everyone's harvest richer.

Four tools. One ecosystem.

Each tool is crafted for a specific purpose, connected by the Had A Farm philosophy. Purpose-built, not bloated.

What is Had A Farm?

Had A Farm, LLC is a software company that builds purpose-built tools for web analytics, SEO, accessibility, answer engine optimization, and asset management. Founded in 2026 by Brent Passmore, the company takes an agrarian approach to software: patient, intentional, and built to last.

What is eiSEO?

eiSEO is a web scanning tool that combines WCAG accessibility auditing, technical SEO analysis, and answer engine optimization (AEO) into a single scan. It crawls your site page by page, identifying issues like missing alt text, broken heading hierarchy, poor meta descriptions, and low AI search readiness, then provides actionable remediation guidance.

How is Had A Farm different from a digital agency?

We build products, not campaigns. While agencies focus on marketing deliverables, Had A Farm creates purpose-built software tools that solve specific problems in web performance, accessibility, and analytics. We also offer technical consulting, but every engagement is rooted in building something lasting, not billing hours.

What technology does Had A Farm use?

Our products are built on Laravel, a PHP framework known for its reliability and developer productivity. We use Tailwind CSS for design systems, SQLite and PostgreSQL for data, and deploy on modern cloud infrastructure. For scanning, eiSEO uses Playwright with real Chromium browsers and the axe-core accessibility engine.
