Why a Farm?

Technology grows best when it's cultivated, not manufactured. Our agrarian approach to software means patience, attention to the soil, and tools that work as hard as you do.

From the ground up.

Had A Farm, LLC is a software company founded in 2026 by Brent Passmore. The company specializes purpose-built tools for web accessibility, SEO, answer engine optimization, and asset management, guided by an agrarian philosophy that values patience, craftsmanship, and technology built to last.

Had A Farm started with a simple observation: the best technology, like the best produce, comes from people who understand the terrain, respect the process, and aren't afraid to get their hands dirty.

We don't believe in factory-farmed code. We don't chase every new framework like it's the latest miracle fertilizer. Instead, we study the soil. We understand what grows well in your conditions. And we tend what we plant.

The result is a suite of purpose-built tools, each one crafted for a specific need, tested in real conditions, and designed to produce measurable yield season after season.

Principles rooted in practice.

01

Patience Over Speed

Rushing to market is how you get brittle software. We take the time to build foundations that hold weight and hold up over time.

02

Purpose Over Features

More features doesn't mean more value. Every line of code should earn its place, just like every seed in the field should earn its row.

03

Clarity Over Complexity

If it's not clear, it's not done. Our tools are designed to make complex problems understandable, not hide them behind more complexity.

04

Sustainability Over Scale

We build technology that doesn't deplete the soil for next season's crop. Clean codebases, maintainable architecture, honest tooling.

05

Partnership Over Transaction

We're not vendors. We're neighbors. We walk your fields, understand your operation, and build tools that fit how you actually work.

06

Transparency Over Polish

Honest communication, even when the news isn't pretty. You'll always know where your project stands and what's growing.

"We don't just build software. We understand your operation, work your rhythm, and deliver something that actually fits how you work."

More about the farm.

Who founded Had A Farm?

Had A Farm, LLC was founded in 2024 by Brent Passmore. Brent brings over twelve years of experience in software development, web accessibility, and SEO. The company is based on the belief that great software, like a great harvest, requires patience, good foundations, and intentional craftsmanship.

Why is it called Had A Farm?

The name reflects our agrarian philosophy toward software. We believe technology grows best when it is cultivated rather than manufactured. Just as good farming requires understanding the soil, the seasons, and the terrain, good software requires understanding the problem, the users, and the conditions before you write a single line of code.

What products does Had A Farm build?

We build four purpose-built tools. eiSEO scans websites for accessibility, SEO, and answer engine optimization issues. AQStat brings Google Analytics 4 data into a streamlined interface. GAS Log is a gear and asset cataloging system for musicians. Each tool solves a specific problem without feature bloat.

Does Had A Farm offer consulting services?

Yes. In addition to our products, we offer technical consulting for custom software development, systems integration, cloud infrastructure, and AI and automation. Every engagement starts with understanding your operation before recommending solutions.
